being "perfect"

I was rereading The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen and realized I have many attributes of Macy, the main protagonist. Each of her female protragonsists hit me in the heart everytime I read them but Macy's thought of having to be perfect to be in control, and to keep things to herself, always seem to be more like me than I can explain.

I love Sarah Dessen's novels.
